Dr. Erica Bello D.V.M. grew up on a small farm in rural New Jersey. She and her family provided a loving home for several horses, dogs, cats, goats and chickens. Dr. Bello could always be found riding her horses or caring for one of her many furry family members. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Rutgers, The State University of NJ (Go Scarlet Knights!). Throughout high school and college, Dr. Bello worked as a veterinary technician. Further confirming her passion to pursue veterinary medicine as her career.
Dr. Bello attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the beautiful island of St. Kitts, in the western Caribbean. She completed a year of clinical medicine at Colorado State School of Veterinary Medicine in Fort Collins, CO. Where she graduated with highest honors, receiving her veterinary degree in 2012. Shortly after completing veterinary school, Dr. Bello was selected by Hollywood Animal Hospital to complete a prestigious 13 month small animal veterinary internship. Here, she found her niche in emergency and critical care as well as internal medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Bello loves being in the saddle, at the beach, or playing sports. She loves the outdoors. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, whom she took as a souvenir from St. Kitts, and her rescue dog “Irie”.
Dr. Bello is excited to be a member of the Boca Veterinary Clinic family. Her interests include emergency care, diagnostic imaging, and surgery. She routinely performs and manages complex surgeries and cases. Dr. Bello has extensive training in soft tissue ultrasound. Above all, she cannot wait to meet your family and provide them with the love and care they deserve!
