The eight veterinarians at Boca Veterinary Clinic bring decades of experience in treating your pet. We have pretty much seen and treated it all. The unique personal experiences of each of our vets add to the level of care they provide to your pet. Together with the BVC team and high tech equipment, our vets provide an unmatched level of care for your dog & cat. At Boca vet clinic your sick pet is rounded between multiple doctors. As a result of this, wealth of knowledge enables BVC to heal some of the sickest pet’s.
 
Below is a brief bio on some of our doctors.
Dr. Lesley Hack a Veterinarian at Boca Veterinary Clinic with her dog.

Dr. Lesley Hack, Veterinarian

Dr. Lesley Hack graduated as a veterinarian in 1987, from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She established and directed her own practice in South Africa until she moved in 2002 to Boca Raton. She then became Medical Director of Cypress Wood Animal Hospital. In 2007, she joined Calusa Veterinary Center. In 2010 she established Boca Veterinary Clinic an animal hospital in South Florida. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Hack has developed a wealth of experience in managing complex medical and surgical cases. She believes that a pet is an integral part of a family. She enjoys establishing warm, friendly relationships with her patients` human families.
 
Boca Veterinary Clinic was established to fulfill her dream of providing an excellent, complex level of care to the pets of Boca Raton, in a warm and caring environment. The emphasis is on superb patient care, delivered with compassion and understanding. She also deeply committed to animal rescue, as shown by our mascot, the rescue mastiff Goliath.
 
Dr Hack lives in Boca Raton with her husband, two sons, one daughter, and, of course, Goliath. A dedicated workaholic, she enjoys spending her rare time off relaxing with her family.

Dr. Stacey Riff (West), DVM

Dr. Riff, grew up in Massachusetts. She did her undergraduate at Emory University. Dr. Riff attended Veterinary school at the University of Florida. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After graduating, she participated in a rigorous internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists. Her internship focused on dogs and cats. Dr. Riff practiced ER and critical care medicine in South Florida before joining Boca Veterinary Clinic in 2016. Her primary interests include general wellness care, critical care, medicine and soft tissue surgery… and her dog, 3 cats and 2 turtles.

Dr. De Leonibus a Veterinarian with two healthy pet cats

Dr. Silvia De Leonibus, DVM

Dr. Silvia De Leonibus was born and raised in a small town in central Italy. Growing up in the countryside, she was always surrounded by many animals. After graduating high school in Italy, she was accepted to Lynn University and graduated in 2.5 years, obtaining a bachelor degree in biology. She then earned her doctorate degree from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated with honors.

Dr. De Leonibus has a strong interest for integrative medicine and is currently completing her small animal acupuncture certification at the Chi University. Dr. De Leonibus is also Fear-Free certified veterinarian. She is a firm believer that reducing stress during veterinary visits improves quality of care. Dr. De Leonibus strives to provide excellent veterinary care to keep her patients as happy and healthy as possible.

Dr. Kimberly O'Neal, DVM

Dr. Kimberly O’Neal grew up in the Chicago suburbs. She is the daughter of a veterinarian and loved lending a hand in her parents’ small animal general practice. Dr. O’Neal was a scholarship athlete earning her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Florida Institute of Technology where she played volleyball and took on the leadership role of captain. After undergrad, she worked in the medical engineering field as a software test engineer where her work was quickly recognized, winning the Star Performer Award.  However, her heart wasn’t in computer screens and data analysis, so she turned to her first love, veterinary medicine.

Combining her love of animals with her problem-solving, and analytical background, Dr. O’Neal received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Certificate in Veterinary Business Management from the University of Illinois. She is passionate about dentistry and preventative medicine and is also a Fear-Free certified veterinarian. In her free time, she loves gardening, traveling, scuba diving, and spending time with her husband and their dog, Nala.

Dr. Amber Rosenthal (Roth), DVM

Dr. Rosenthal (Roth) was born and raised in sunny South Florida and has always loved animals. Since she was a little girl, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. She went to the University of Florida and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, followed by a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship. In 2017, she achieved her dream and graduated from St. George’s University School with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Rosenthal (Roth) started her career as a general vet in Miami. Later, she completed a special training program in emergency medicine in New Jersey. She then came back to South Florida and worked as a relief vet. Where she was able to evaluate multiple different animal hospitals in the Boca Raton area. The extremely high level of care provided by Boca Veterinary Clinic was the perfect match. She is excited to join Boca Veterinary Clinic full time. Her main interests are urgent care and internal medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Rosenthal (Roth) enjoys hot yoga, baking, and traveling with her husband. She loves spending time with her own dog and cat, too.

Dr. Rosenthal (Roth) is eager to meet you and your pet! She’s dedicated to providing the best care possible. Whether it’s a regular check-up or a complicated medical issue, Dr. Roth will create a personalized treatment plan to meet your pet’s needs. Her warm and friendly nature, along with her knowledge and love for animals, make her a perfect partner in keeping your furry family members healthy and happy.

Dr. Matthew Marquis

Dr. Matthew Marquis graduated of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Marquis completed his undergraduate degree in animal sciences at Rutgers University. After graduation he worked at the Philadelphia Zoo before switching to a  research role at Bristol Myers Squibb. After driving past the Ross University admissions office every day for a year he finally elected to walk in, apply, and was accepted. 
 
Following graduation Dr. Marquis completed a small animal rotating internship  at the Coral Springs Animal Hospital where he developed an interest in emergency medicine. He stayed in the emergency department for another two years before making the switch to general practice. Today Dr. Marquis enjoys helping the community with all of their pet’s needs. Dr. Marquis still maintains his love of exotic animals and shares his home with a number of reptiles, fish, and birds on top of his four dogs. In addition to their small zoo, Dr. Marquis and his fiancée recently welcomed their first born daughter to the world.
