The eight veterinarians at Boca Veterinary Clinic bring decades of experience in treating your pet. We have pretty much seen and treated it all. The unique personal experiences of each of our vets add to the level of care they provide to your pet. Together with the BVC team and high tech equipment, our vets provide an unmatched level of care for your dog & cat. At Boca vet clinic your sick pet is rounded between multiple doctors. As a result of this, wealth of knowledge enables BVC to heal some of the sickest pet’s.

Dr. Lesley Hack a Veterinarian at Boca Veterinary Clinic with her dog.

Dr. Lesley Hack, Veterinarian

Dr. Lesley Hack graduated as a veterinarian in 1987, from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She established and directed her own practice in South Africa until she moved in 2002 to Boca Raton. She then became Medical Director of Cypress Wood Animal Hospital. In 2007, she joined Calusa Veterinary Center. In 2010 she established Boca Veterinary Clinic an animal hospital in South Florida. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Hack has developed a wealth of experience in managing complex medical and surgical cases. She believes that a pet is an integral part of a family. She enjoys establishing warm, friendly relationships with her patients` human families.
 
Boca Veterinary Clinic was established to fulfill her dream of providing an excellent, complex level of care to the pets of Boca Raton, in a warm and caring environment. The emphasis is on superb patient care, delivered with compassion and understanding. She also deeply committed to animal rescue, as shown by our mascot, the rescue mastiff Goliath.
 
Dr Hack lives in Boca Raton with her husband, two sons, one daughter, and, of course, Goliath. A dedicated workaholic, she enjoys spending her rare time off relaxing with her family.

Dr. Jessica Reum, Veterinarian

Dr. Reum grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan, on a small hobby farm with her horses. Her interest in veterinary medicine was sparked at a young age when the local veterinarian helped to treat her colicing horse. From that time on, she spent much of her free time volunteering with that same local vet, her sights already set on vet school.
 
Dr. Reum attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate studies. During undergrad she majored in zoological sciences. Dr. Reum spent her college summers at Michigan State where she continued her research and summer classes. By the time she was through her second year, she had completed all the classes required to apply to vet school. Before finishing her bachelor’s degree in zoology. She was accepted to Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine .
 
Due to her scholastic achievements, Dr. Reum was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Sciences in 2008 before she finished vet school. Dr. Reum graduated from MSU College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 2011. After finishing vet school, she was chosen from a highly competitive field of veterinary applicants to complete an internship at Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa.
 
She spent this internship year managing complicated cases side-by-side with veterinary specialists. Some of the specialties include internal medicine, surgery, critical care, cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology and dermatology.
She also gained extensive experience with emergency medicine and surgery during this year.
 
Following her internship year, Dr. Reum’s appreciation for client relationships pulled her back into private practice and she joined Boca Veterinary Clinic. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, cooking and spending time with her dog Harper at the dog park.
 
Dr. Stacey West Riff a Veterinarian in Boca Raton with a dog.

Dr. Stacey Riff (West), DVM

Dr. Riff, grew up in Massachusetts. She did her undergraduate at Emory University. Dr. Riff attended Veterinary school at the University of Florida. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After graduating, she participated in a rigorous internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists. Her internship focused on dogs and cats. Dr. Riff practiced ER and critical care medicine in South Florida before joining Boca Veterinary Clinic in 2016. Her primary interests include general wellness care, critical care, medicine and soft tissue surgery… and her dog, 3 cats and 2 turtles.

Dr. Michael Chouter dvm with a dog

Dr. Michael Chouster, DVM

Dr. Chouster, was born in Ukraine and grew up in Toronto, Canada. He graduated with his first bachelor with honors in physics at the University of Toronto. His second bachelor’s degree is in Biology from Concordia University. He obtained his vet degree from, the Ontario Veterinary College, the oldest vet school in North America. Dr. Chouster completed rigorous small animal rotating internship at Coral Springs Animal Hospital. His intership concentrated on medicine and surgery. There he gained extensive experience treating dogs and cats. Dr. Chouster then joined Boca Veterinary Clinic. His primary interests are veterinary internal medicine, ophthalmology and wildlife medicine. On weekends he often kit surfs at the beach or goes diving.

Dr. De Leonibus a Veterinarian with two healthy pet cats

Dr. Silvia De Leonibus, DVM

Dr. Silvia De Leonibus was born and raised in a small town in central Italy. Growing up in the countryside, she was always surrounded by many animals. After graduating high school in Italy, she was accepted to Lynn University and graduated in 2.5 years, obtaining a bachelor degree in biology. She then earned her doctorate degree from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated with honors.

Dr. De Leonibus has a strong interest for integrative medicine and is currently completing her small animal acupuncture certification at the Chi University. Dr. De Leonibus is also Fear-Free certified veterinarian. She is a firm believer that reducing stress during veterinary visits improves quality of care. Dr. De Leonibus strives to provide excellent veterinary care to keep her patients as happy and healthy as possible.

Dr. Ana Cristina Poeck, VMD

Dr. Poeck was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Growing up, she always knew she wanted to be a Veterinarian. After high school, Dr. Poeck moved to Miami, and graduated with honors in Biology from Barry University.  She then attended one of the world’s premier veterinary schools, the University of Pennsylvania. After completing her vet studies in 2011, Dr. Poeck moved back to the Sunshine State. There she completed a rigorous small-animal internship at Miami Veterinary Specialists. During her internship, Dr. Poeck worked alongside board-certified specialists in the fields of internal medicine, surgery, and neurology.

Dr. Poeck’s hobbies include horseback riding, baking, and sewing. Dr. Poeck loves ALL animals! In her free time, Dr. Poeck enjoys spending time with her family, their three dogs, and going to the beach. She is fluent in Portuguese. Over the years she has had various pets of her own, including sheep, chickens, ducks, and a leopard gecko! Dr. Poeck joined the Boca Veterinary Clinic family in 2021. She is excited to care for your pet dog or cat like she has for her own pets.

Dr. Kimberly O'Neal, DVM

Dr. Kimberly O’Neal grew up in the Chicago suburbs. She is the daughter of a veterinarian and loved lending a hand in her parents’ small animal general practice. Dr. O’Neal was a scholarship athlete earning her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Florida Institute of Technology where she played volleyball and took on the leadership role of captain. After undergrad, she worked in the medical engineering field as a software test engineer where her work was quickly recognized, winning the Star Performer Award.  However, her heart wasn’t in computer screens and data analysis, so she turned to her first love, veterinary medicine.

Combining her love of animals with her problem-solving, and analytical background, Dr. O’Neal received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Certificate in Veterinary Business Management from the University of Illinois. She is passionate about dentistry and preventative medicine and is also a Fear-Free certified veterinarian. In her free time, she loves gardening, traveling, scuba diving, and spending time with her husband and their dog, Nala.
