Dr. Macy Marquis is a compassionate veterinarian whose career reflects both a deep love for animals and a strong commitment to the people who care for them. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a rotating internship at Coral Springs Animal Hospital. After completing her internship, Dr. Marquis continued on as a staff Emergency Doctor and Intern Coordinator, where she thrived in fast-paced, high-acuity medicine while mentoring the next generation of veterinarians.

Dr. Marquis went on to provide emergency relief services throughout South Florida before pursuing a lifelong passion for zoo and wildlife medicine. This path led her to Cape May County Zoo in New Jersey, where she served as Assistant Director and Veterinarian, caring for an extraordinary range of species—from tiny lizards to majestic snow leopards. While this experience was incredibly fulfilling, she found herself missing Florida and the meaningful, long-term relationships built with clients and their pets.

Now happily back in South Florida, Dr. Marquis is excited to return to Boca Veterinary Clinic as a staff veterinarian. Her professional interests include emergency medicine and exotic animal care, and she is known for her calm presence, clinical skill, and genuine kindness toward both patients and their families.

When she’s not at work, Dr. Marquis enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, daughter, dogs, birds, and reptiles—and she is joyfully awaiting the arrival of human baby #2.
